Well I went from bi-amping with four channels of my Onkyo TX-NR809 receiver to using just the two main channels again with some 11awg Straight Wire WaveGuide bi-wire cables. I'll let you know if there's any improvements (or the opposite) in sound quality.
I can say that build quality is quite good, and the BFA pins are really nice and tight. So far, me likes! And of course, a few pics... |

Thinned out the stack-o-gear, inserted the Pioneer Elite PD-D6-J SACD player, and most importantly, pulled out the "real" camera to take some pics!

And a few close-ups...

Look what I just got in today. Gonna get some more, too!
And you should hear what they did to the sound... Absolutely nothing! |

I have a friend who has a pair of NHT 2.9. They sound very nice with his Pass x350.5 amp. That center channel looks bad ass. Clean setup you have.

That's pretty funny. I've been dying to get them as well. After reading this...I'm still gonna order some soon. Haha.

Keep in mind those are original, real telephone line insulators, not the hifi hyped ones, which I think are also the same thing, just with a name stuck on them. I like them though and are gonna get a few more. They're cheap enough, so why not, right? |

Lovely to see. Technics made some fine tables.
And Nak RX-303 flipper! It doesn't get much better |

The Nak 303 and 505 are both great decks. If I had to choose between one of these and a Dragon, I'd be hard-pressed to make up my mind as the "flipper" decks really are unique and somewhat rare vs all of the other regular decks out there. Yeah, my ancient Oly E-300 DSLR (going on nearly 10 years old) still churns out great looking pics with that Kodak 4/3 sensor. And while having some of that old gear was fun to watch late at night with the lights off, it was just too much clutter. Now this system actually looks almost as good as it sounds. |
