Interesting you say that about Nordost cables . I use Nordost Heimdall ics and scs in my current system to good effect . Works well with my current fairly laidback speakers . But , I have heard they dont go too well with the utopias . Will be getting the Scala V2s in a few weeks time . Cant wait !
I found this link which explains cable impedence and resistance well .

Took delivery on a pair of EM Stella Utopias to replace my Scala Utopias . They are the answer! Very impressive ; the electromagnetic bass is the way to go.i believe I will keep these speakers for the rest of my live (they are too big too move!!)

I've been demoing a pair of 1038be's loaned to me for a month by my dealer. This is only day two, and I love the mids and highs so much on these speakers that it's got me thinking about the Scala V2's IF, I have the year end that looks very likely. The bottom end on the 1038's is very "luscious", but I want the air movement of that 11" woofer!

Wait, aren't you the one that buys $10,000 speakers for a couple of months at at time? I think you need to adopt me!

Definitely would have you over if I get the Scalas!
