Do you mean it scrolls as fast as your C15? May be it's my wifi network which is crap.

No, I meant I am getting about the same performance on my iPad 2 as you are on yours. It's not horrible or anything, just not as fluid as on my C15.

Yup, not as fluid like John said.

And its not because the WiFi signal is crappy. Its just could be that its time for an iPad 3.

Tomorrow I'll find out if I can book one.

Meanwhile, live with the slight inconvenience, or rather, fluidity!

I think it is more to do with trying to load so many thumbnails quickly. Perhaps there is a reason the default is 200 X 200 dpi!

I believe it comes down to the available resources on the iPad2.

Try this: double tap the home button and you'll see all the apps that are open. Touch one of the apps and hold. They will all start to shack and allow you to delete/remove them from RAM. This will not erase the app from the iPad2. Remove them all. From time to time you'll have to repeat this procedure. Since clearing my RAM, my refresh rates are much better and I am not crashing at all.

The iPad3 will have more RAM so this procedure shouldn't be necessary. Good luck!

Default Control 15 problem

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone can help. On my Mac the ControlMac app is blacked out in the boxes you would type in, i.e. if I search Rhapsody the search artists block is black as is the tracks if I edit an album It still accepts the typing even though you can't see it but there must be a cure. Any help will be gratefully received.

Try re-booting.

This is a problem as a result of the JAVA update ... where the applet is either "blacked off" or "transparent".

There is really no revert on this. However, an alternative way to do would be:

1. For the Control Mac, point to the start and then drag to highlight. You can then see if anything was there. If its blank, TYPE OVER (please ensure your typing is correct and no spelling error). Re-do the first part to check. Hit ENTER to continue.

2. I used this method to update the details whenever I need to correct or make changes to CD info in my Sooloos.

3. By the way, this affects only certain applets and not all of it.

I hope I had understood your problem. If its some others, then discard the above.

Good luck.

Cheers!
