Upgrade 808.3 to 808.5
Well, it happened - finally done the upgrade (ID29, ID41, Linear Power Supply, Software Update ... and a few more) and by Meridian factory personnel too. His name is Andy.
Not only that, he gave my system a one-off checkup, extended the warranty to 5 years. Here's some pictures taken during the upgrade and the final product showing the 808.5 nomenclature when starting up. Sound? Well, I have yet to give it a good listen, over this weekend for sure. One thing for sure, there will be an upgrade coming for the DSP8000 speakers ....

Thanks for update. I have been considering the upgrade in small part for the 24/192 but mainly the switch to the linear power supply. The few 24/192 I own are already played back at 24/96 I wish they would supply a new plate for the front that says 808v5 to replace the v3 (for eventual resale)

Grats Jerrry! Give that PSU some days to settle in by having it turned on/playing.
If you are listening immediately after the upgrade it will take some time for the new PSU/cards to loosen up  But it will be fun reading your audio findings of the upgrade..
