That could have been a hell of a lot worse than it turned out to be!

In case anyone gets upset by the idea of the Hog Hunt, keep this in mind.

With the number of feral hogs throughout Texas growing at an alarming rate, hunting them helps landowners, farmers, and ranchers control the damage done by these invasive and destructive creatures.

Default Texas Hog Hunt Helicopter Crash

One night, when returning from a concert, a boar crossed the road and I crashed my car into a surprisingly massive wall of meat.

The damage didn’t look that severe, but in effect the crumple zone and pedestrian collision safety had done their job and had dissipated the energy of the impact.

When I received the breakdown of the repairs I was stunned, basically the whole front end of the car was rebuild.

Speed was less than 70 Km/h at the moment of impact and the big sucker scambled back to its feet and ran off.

These boars were released into the wild illegally by hunters and they have become a pest and hazard. Suffice it to say I don’t hold much love for these creatures.

They are very aggressive. The boars will attack when threatened and can cause massive damage to an unprepared hunter. They are said to be more dangerous than bears.

Here is what the hunt looks like from the air. Don't worry, the kill does not go to waste, the feral hogs even consume each other...
