Default w20.......

The W20 was described by Robert Harley in The Absolute Sound as the current state of the art in servers. I believe it's been replaced at the top of their line by the W20SE. It's certainly a world-class server, although to my knowledge still doesn't handle Roon and you have to use their app.
It was about $20k new, so maybe $8-10k used in good shape, depending on capacity.

Since I do not stream, I am not familiar with Aurender other than having heard the name so w20 was foreign to me. Thanks,

I own a W20SE. While I was concerned it would be “worth it”. Within 30 seconds of putting it in my system I was convinced it was a bargain.

The Aurender W20 was the standard for what could be achieved with streaming before the W20SE. While I have not heard it… it was a seminal piece of equipment. Certainly worth over $10K… maybe $15K.

If you can buy one, I highly recommend it. World class streamer.

From what I read, I think Aurender now considers the new two chasis N30/N30SA to be the top of their line, slightly above the W20SE.
