Hi Tommy,

I ended up buying a full set of the vovox fortis cables. Still have the SR set. They're both great cables.

Thanks for your reply! I bought an Vovox textura PC for my Qsub and I am very pleased. Excellent quality at a good price!

Ditto.

I was using a 20 year old HomeDepot speaker cable on my Vienna Acoustics and a pair of AudioQuest cables on my Martin Logan Summits X speakers.

Recently, I purchased a pair of WW Silver Eclipse from Ivan for my Summits and moved the AudioQuest to the Vienna Acoustics. Prior to the switch, I did test and appreciated a vast sonic improvement over the HomeDepot cables when removing the HomeDepot cable to the WW Silver Eclipse. This may be because the HomeDepot Cable is truly the bottom feeder of cables.

However, when I switched back and forth between the AudioQuest and WW cables...sonically they seem on par with the AudioQuest. I have no complaints.

I am now using AudioQuest XLRs and Power Cables and one WW Platinum Coax. I have nothing to compare too. So for me, everything sounds great.

I am not going to try and build my own. I am sticking with what I have for now.

Transparent reference interconnects between amp and preamp and digital source. I tried Audioquest cables for my vinyl setup, but they were just too bright for my tastes. Once I switched to M.I.T. Shotguns with impedance matching, everything fell into place.....sounds great. For fun I compared some Monster Cable interlink Refernce cables in my vinyl front end. They actually sounded nice, that is when I wasn't picking up HAM and CB radios while I was listening. Shielding is obviously not up to par with the Monsters. I've been really happy with the M.I.T. Cables....they're fantastic.

Interesting to hear you liked the Vovox cables so much. Thanks for the tip.

How do you compare the K15 with the Absolare Altius? What is the price of the Altius? How extended are they in terms of low bass?

Thanks,
