Tonight's Cocktail: The Brown Hornet
2 oz Rye Whiskey (I used Bulleit Rye)
3/4 oz Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
1/4 oz Velvet Falernum

Stir with ice to chill and serve over a large block (or sphere) of ice.

(Me finding this thread was opening up a can of worms for you guys...)

Tonight's Cocktail: Sazerac
2 oz Rye Whiskey
1/4 oz Simple syrup
3-4 dashes of Peychaud's bitters

Stir with ice to chill. Rinse a mixing glass with absinthe (or use a mister bottle like I do). Strain the chilled drink into the glass. Garnish with lemon peel.

A truly classic cocktail!

Listening to some Chris Stapleton and sipping on a nice Armagnac.

Oh, and streaming the NC Orange game on my iPad... I love technology.

That IS a nice Armagnac!

Tonight's Second Cocktail (It is Saturday, after all): Black Manhattan

2 oz Rye or Bourbon Whiskey (I used Buffalo Trace Bourbon tonight)
1 oz Averna

Stir with ice to chill. Serve with a proper maraschino cherry in a cocktail glass.
