I will be upgrading my cart on my Luxman PD-171 TT. Going from a Dynavector 20xl2 to a Dynavector 17DX. Anyone use this cart? How long for break-in?

Google some of the professional reviews. Most usually mention the break-in period in their reviews.

Had my 17DX installed and what a difference over the Dynavector 20XL2. More detail at the top and the bass notes are very distinctive. Lot's of air between musicians. Zero surface noise. Almost like listening to a master tape. The 20XL2 was excellent but the 17DX is in a completely different league.

Did Luxman discontinue the PD 171A TT?? Music Direct stated that is no longer available for purchase.

They did. The Pd 151 is also being replaced by a new model.

I was talking to Jeff Sigmund last month. He was demoing the 595 SE integrated at my local dealers store.He said that Luxman was designing a new tonearm. Being they are making these Anniversary models a possible DD TT could be in the works. Maybe 10K??
