Default Anyone owning Lyngdorf products?

My best friend just purchased a pair of Scansonic MB 3.5 B and he is looking for an integrated amplifier to match its new speakers. I was looking at different alternatives for him and stumbled across the Lyngdorf brand. There is good press and reviews on the web from mostly A/V websites. The products offered are quite innovative and almost unique. Are there any Lyngdorf owners here that can share their opinions and experiences? My friend is looking more specifically at the TDAI-2170 integrated.

I bought a Lyngdorf about three or four years ago after reading glowing reviews, it had room correction and was touted as the future.

I will get right to the point.....i hated it for me it was truly mid-fi, i gave it a month then sold it, lucky for me it was getting good reviews and i sold it quick. A 4k mistake i don`t even remember the model number. One of my worst buy`s in audio ever.

I have a 180 degree different experience. I think the lyngdorf completely transformed my listening experience when I had non active speakers. Corrected my difficult bass issues and greatly expanded the soundstage. I found it revolutionary.

So there you go, two completely opposite reviews which should help your decision /s

A bit late, but part of my problem for not jumping to a Lyngdorf, or even a JBL for that matter is the lack of dealer support in my area. I want to be able to walk into my local dealer and get the support I need, check out the units, and not buy sight unseen, or have to get on an airplane to California to the Lyngdorf dealer.
