Lots of my Lp's were never re-issued on CD, so I still find the whole physical process mind-boggling how a Lp playback system does what it does.

How you nevertheless can get decent sound with this technique has me scratching my head.

First, that video, the underlying analysis techniques, and the gentleman moderating the whole thing are really top shelf all the way.

It’s amazing what about a 100 years of great minds perfecting the medium have brought us. It sounds way better than it should!

I wonder what the next 10 years of great minds perfecting digital recording and playback will bring us?

That's great.
What I find the most amazing is that the "home hobbiest" has what is essentially a $1mm SEM and up-to-date storage-scope and took the effort to post this. Having spent many hours prepping and running samples in an SEM, that video would have been a couple of days long to show all the work that went into his efforts.
