All of you Directstream owners- have you compared the PS Audio to any other Dacs?

I’m trying out a few flavors and it’s one I wanted to try next possibly.

Just curious what you hear different in the PS Audio vs. other Dacs

I owned the DSD for a while as well as a Schiit Yggdrasil, Oppo 105, and Matrix Audio Element X. I have sold all and now own an Okto Research Dac8 Stereo. I've been using the Dac8 for over a year now with no desire to replace it. The built-in Raspberry Pi is significantly easier to use (not to mention cheaper) than the PS Audio Bridge.

I had a Mcintosh D1000 and prefer the Directstream

I just read online that PS Audio is going thru some very bad money problems. I sold the few products I had from them while I can.

Exactly. I'm on the PS Audio Forum every day and if there were any financial problems that's definitely news to me.

WINNER!

Just fired up my “new to me” Directstream DAC with bridge II.

This puppy is so listenable. Bad recordings even sound good.
