Have to say…cool idea.
I have one of my Mc gear set ups under my tv. I’ve always hated the Xfinity box sitting on the rack with my Mc.
Now, would I pay $1500 to hide it? Ummm… no.

This is a terrible idea. It’s insulting.

I disagree. I wouldn't buy one, but for some Mcintosh fans it might be an excellent addition to their system. If anything it would be a cool night light.

The LB's weren't for me either especially since I needed a pair of them. So instead I made my own Binghampton inspired lighting complete with leftover original mc1201 handles.

I have one of the light boxes with the wood case I got from Ivan/Dan years ago. It resides in my vintage Florida room setup. I'm good with that.

The open back is where you insert your money for future McIntosh purchases. When it's full of $100 bills, you have enough money to buy the new clock which has more Dynamic Headroom. I'd be ashamed to say I bought this as I brought it home, passing starving people on the streets. The new McIntosh owners are showing us what the future holds.

JBT, you may have heard the saying "wealth whispers" or "new money shouts, old money whispers"--this is the point being made by those who say this (large logo billboard) cheapens the brand. BTW, it's similar to the disdain for meters with no level control on the new tuner. People with an old money or wealth sensibility do not want large logos or meaningless meters. To those people, these things suggest showing off or a need for others to see how much has been spent. This display of need is a display of weakness, not strength. A plain black box is actually worth more than a "MCINTOSH!!!" black box.

I am not opining here on which sensibility is better or worse, only highlighting that both sensibilities exist within the McIntosh customer base.

I like the concept and intended use. The logo is way over exaggerated in my opinion. I don’t want my personal system looking like a dealer display. Would prefer the logo to be similar in size to those on normal units. Maybe they could have incorporated meters as a clock on the face as well.
