I wish you a speedy recovery Pete.

I'm aware every company sets their own policy and I have direct input into Covid policy at my place of business. After some research I found out CDC is continually changing recommendation. Our original policy was exactly like yours but I was informed Covid patients can test positive for months after. Since than we have altered our policy to follow closer to CDC recommendations.

This is NOT meant to be a political "thing" so please don't make it one. It's only meant as food for thought and coming from someone who needs to consider what is best for both employer and employee.

As stated at the start, I wish you the best and enjoy that music.

Thanks....I'm beginning to hear about this as well. Some companies are not requiring a negative test, only a set isolation period and that the symptoms have resolved.

Thanks Gents for the well wishes...I'm feeling considerably better than I was earlier in the week.

I'm hoping to return to work early next week. I'm just hoping I don't get mired up over getting a negative test; as Doug points out and as I'm hearing from other sources, this can take a while depending on the individual. I'm planning to test myself tomorrow (Sunday) to get a feel for this.

Speedy recovery Pete. Your 3 shots probably kept your symptoms to mild case. Get you some home test kits to have on hand. I am on 4 shots and about to get #5 - my immune system is compromised. And, it is not just a cold…

Kevin....thanks. I have 2 home test kits on hand; I had one in my travel bag and tested myself last week and got a positive result. So, I scheduled a drive thru test to be sure and of course it was positive.

Nope, not just a cold, though in the beginning it seemed like it was a cold coming on.

Bump...after testing negative at home Friday and Saturday, I got a test result back a short while ago from a drive thru test as negative. So, I can return to work tomorrow. Glad that's over with.....
