Please tell me you hate it. I'm looking for the end all/be all in CD/digital playback and I don't want to pay 12 Gs unless I have to!!!

If to you, the C22 looks the same as the C2700 minus a DAC, with all the same inputs and features, you should buy one. For me, I realize the differences and the C22 is not simply a C2700 minus the DAC. To each their own.

I own one already. Yes, I was not considering the facade/meters, only the architecture, which both my dealer and my amateur review of the spec sheets report as identical. On the features, the C22 (at least the previous generation, not sure about the current) has the tape monitor I think you've been asking for. I can't imagine ever selling mine, but then again, I have not heard a C12000...Cheers

I take it there are new advanced reviews yet. I've been Googling daily for the past couple of weeks but can't come up with anything.

If you take a look at the link I provided you'll see there is no tape loop on the current C22. Not only that, but there is no fixed output, only outputs designed to be used with an amp, so there is no easy way to hook up any recording device, tape or otherwise. The C2700 also offers more analog inputs than the C22. So I'm not sure how the architecture is identical. This is all off topic anyhow.

Did JW find audio nirvana with his MCD12000 and abandon us?
