Hello everybody
I'm Andrea from Italy

in the maxima amateur bi-amping is not possible because the crossover circuit topology does not allow it ... ;-)

maxima is not an "elongated electa", it has many innovations inside:
the internal shape of the cabinet has been totally redesigned, and optimized to mechanically eliminate standing waves, the damping material is new and is based on 3-layer pads made of recycled carbon and silica fibers. The crossover (IFF interactive fusion filtering) is completely new as a circuit diagram and is mounted in a separate volume to make it isolated from vibrations. There is also a third chamber on the ground filled with inert material which serves to increase weight and stability. Maxima underwent long listening sessions to decide one by one all the individual components used (both in the brand and in the range).

Hi.
the lower chamber is filled with damping material and weighs the system down by about 10kg and ensures greater stability

Reviving this thread...anyone have anymore reviews of this speaker? Looking to replace my Focal Kanta 2 and wondering if these will work. I've heard you can't "rock out" with them very well. More suited to relaxed listening sessions. I listen to all music types so hopefully would sound good with some bluesy Muddy Waters, to relaxing Fleetwood Mac, while also cranking it up to some Daft Punk. Anyone?

Well, with my Electa Amator III I have rocked out to Lou Reed Intro/Sweet Jane from my MC1502 at about 150w peak - they took it without grimacing . I was very pleased with the performance as was my guest who has a pair of Harbeth 40 30 anniversary. Two completely different sounds.

That's good to hear! I am pairing them with a REL S812 sub so the low low's should be covered, just hoping they have enough oomph and SPL to rock out when I wanna!

To the Harbeth...guessing that's a super warm speaker? I've heard they aren't a great fit with tubes as they are too warm.
