Lol.

I’m spending some extended time with the Mola Mola.

It is freaking amazing.

Comparing that and the Aries Cerat back to back is the only way you can see the Aries’ strengths.

The AC does a better job with micro detail. It truly brings the venue “live” with ambient noise.

That said, the Mola is just flat out fun and pleasing to listen to.

My gut says the Aries is the top dog- and Playback a very close 2nd. Mola really blows me away though - for 1/2 or 1/3 of the price of the other contenders.

All three finalists are truly “end game” pieces.

Since I haven’t sold any of the top 3- that shows how close they really are.

Thanks for that, very interesting. I haven’t experienced the Playback or the Aries, not easy to get them here in Oz, but I recently acquired the MM as it’s about as much as I want to spend as an “end game”. I certainly feel that it delivers enough for me. It replaced and is better than an Auralic Vega G2.1/Leo GX.1 combo. It has ramped up my enjoyment listening to music, fun and pleasing as you say.

Hate to see this thread die. Grasshopper, after a couple of few months, do you still have your three finalist? Have your thoughts changed about them?
