After watching the few outstanding reviews on the Meze Empyreans and knowing just how capable many of today's headphones are, I am wondering how the current younger generation of headphone audiophiles will ever transition to 2 channel systems. They are absolutely spoiled by the performance.
I am not sure that 2 channel audio will ever be able to quite keep up with the progress of headphones. As it is, it takes many multiples to even come close to a similar performance of these headphones with 2 channel system (if the room does not muck up the response as it so often does). It's like driving a go kart with the performance of a McLaren from the age of 3 and then getting your drivers license at 16 and expecting to be wowed by a first car?
