We were listening on a very revealing system and that may have been why we noticed more of a difference between the N10 and the N100h.
Paul.......I'm with you. I'm not giving up my Aurender N10. .

I called the 'local' dealer down in South Louisiana and we're going to set up a day to drive down and demo the N100h and the N10.

Just got word there is a new Aurender N100c. This adds a Coax SPDIF. But the clock is still better on the N10.

Tim-

Do you know if this is available yet? According to the Google translation of a Korean spec sheet I found, it will have a 250 gig M-2 type SSD and a 4 TB Hd.

A review here states 120 gig SSD and 2 tb HD as standard:

http://www.hificlub.co.kr/web10/boar...10023&ishtml=n

As I need a coax output, I plan to wait for n100c before deciding. That N10 sure looks sweet though!

Hey John, not sure if its technically out yet. The dealer in Baton Rouge told me that.

Quote:
Tim, the N10 does have digital outputs the N100H doesn’t (though the N100C was just introduced—an N100H with the addition of an S/PDIF output). There are other significant differences: on the fly DSD to PCM conversion; better clock and lower jitter; lower noise power supplies; double the size of the caching SSD; and greater storage capability. Of course, you pay for these differences. The difference between a 4TB N100H and a 4TB N10 is $5k.
I'll find out more info and let you know John.

Well I had a nice visit from Audio Philosophy yesterday. Very detailed conversation. Probably the first time a knowledgeable Audio guy actually sat me down and asked questions. Then based on needs and wants he made recommendations.

Based on my horrid interconnects/stock Power cords, I am going to purchase the Aurender N100h and get some proper power cords/power distribution, and USB.

We made a priority list. Some of it will be an evolving process. We all have our limits but also don't want to settle too much.

Going to order a Black N100h. And replace my stock PCs with Shunyata.

Yea the n10 is probably better with the SPDIF connection BUT I think I BADLY need to upgrade my power sources. I can always trade up to the N10 if I need to.

So there it goes. I'll post back later with more thoughts as stuff starts coming in.

I appreciate the good feedback and advice and PM's. Truly do.
