Jean-Marc.......The cover art is displayed on the iPad. The iPad is where the majority of the N10's functions are accessed. The front panel AMOLED display, actually two AMOLED displays side by side, does not show cover art. The displays purpose is to show song titles, bit rate and conversion information, and also serves to display left and right channel level meters that can be switched between blue or yellow. Using the buttons on the front of the Aurender allows the display to show the device information with details about Server name, LAN/Wi-Fi status, IP address, and other details.

Enjoy.
Jim.......I am confident you will be completely satisfied with the SilenZio. Every single owner of that music server has reported only positive experiences. Ivan owns three Silenzio's. That should tell you all you need to know about the performance and sound of the product. In addition, you simply cannot beat Emile's service and rapid response to any owner issues. You made a good choice. I hope you take the time to write a full review on your SilenZio once you have it in service.

During my research into my next music server the SilenZio and the Aurender were at the top of my list. I looked into the Antipodes music server but was not impressed with the internal parts or the overall build quality of the product. Little by little the Aurender N10 found its way to the top of my list. While I am in research mode I take all the time necessary to get all the information I can on the components I am interested in. Even after I make a decision I still procrastinate for a period of time, sleeping on it so to speak, to make sure I am spending my money wisely. Such was the case with the N10. I could have easily bought it months ago based on my first impressions but I needed time to compare my options, dig a little deeper, and ensure my choice was the right one for me. As the old saying goes, "You had me at hello." That's how it was with the N10. After that I just couldn't shake it off. Now the Aurender N10 is on its way into my system.

Douglas.......Thank you. The Aurender N10 is now available with an optional 8TB storage. I think it is a $500.00 bump in price. Although I was tempted to max out the storage capability, I decided to remain with the base model of 4TB. That is more storage than I will ever need. I haven't even used a full 1TB of the 2TB storage on my Olive 04HD music servers, nor have I maxed out the 750GB hard drive on my McIntosh MS750.

Congratulations Dan, the Aurender is, by all accounts, an excellent music server. Dbpoweramp is also the best tool for ripping. I'm just curious though, if you've already been using a server, why are you having to re-rip your cds, don't you already have the files from your previous server? Or does the Olive use some sort of proprietary format?

Tony.......The music files on the Olive 04HD are FLAC but when backed up they are in a proprietary format that does not lend itself to being useful for anything except reinstalling the files to an Olive 04HD. My McIntosh MS750 files are FLAC and can be copied to a hard drive but all of those files were ripped using the MS750 internal transport. I have no idea about the accuracy of the rips. Since the Aurender N10 is a high performance music server in every respect I want my files to be as accurate as possible to achieve the best possible playback quality. This is why I purchased and am using dBpoweramp for bit perfect rips. When I move the ripped files to the Aurender's 4TB hard drive I can rest assured the ripped copies are as good as they can be.

I am no fan of the days upon days, even weeks upon weeks of time and effort required to rip a complete CD library but with patience, diligence, and tenacity I will accomplish this chore. Being retired with lots of time on my hands is a great asset when tedious tasks like this demand extended attention.

The N10 has gotten stellar reviews, not to mention they are seen being used in many demo rooms at audio shows. That tells me what the audio professionals think of the Aurender N10.

I have my fingers crossed the N10 will arrive late next week. That gives me plenty of time to keep ripping my library. That chore is rather time consuming. I have done it multiple times with other music servers so am familiar with the drill. The dBpoweramp software is a gem and easy to use. It performs a process called AccurateRip, guaranteeing bit perfect rips of my CD's. The dBpoweramp software takes care of meta data and grabs cover art in high resolution from the Internet and allows the user to search for higher resolution cover art if you wish. You can edit data at will. The software also provides a music converter and a batch converter for mass file conversion. It is a slick program. I purchased the Family Pack ($68.00) that allows me to install dBpoweramp on up to five computers. I am running it on my office PC, the control room PC, and my Sony Vaio laptop. It is slick software that rips to all common file types. I am ripping everything in FLAC.
I use EAC (exact audio copy). It's free and works well. But it's not very fast. And some cds aren't found online so I have to type them in. Only once in a while.

Ivan.......Thank you. A complete review of the Aurender N10 will happen. I will need some time to become fully proficient with the Aurender Conductor app, not only for music playback but also for controlling the various software functions that control and adjust the N10's performance. I want to have at least 150 hours break-in on the music server before I focus critically on the sound. Like many high-end audio components I have purchased without an audition, I have relied on the comments of owners who are exceptionally pleased with their Aurender N10 music servers. I have little doubt I will be disappointed with this purchase.

I know you are fully vested with the SilenZio music servers in your various sound systems. We have talked at length many times and I know you are completely satisfied with the sound and performance of the SilenZio. Knowing you, I can say without a doubt that your endorsement is powerful. I may ultimately purchase a SilenZio for my living room system but I was drawn to the Aurender N10 like a moth to a flame for quite a few reasons. Yes, I know I could have purchased two Silenzio's and a NAS setup for the price of one Aurender N10 with change left over, but for me the N10 checked all the boxes that concerned me and met my aesthetic values at the same time. To the best of my knowledge we only live once. Grabbing the brass ring once in awhile feels good.
