Default Nice pocket size point and shoot

I picked one of these for my wife to throw in her purse when she goes out to lunch with her friends or when we are invited over friends and taking the SLR is just not part of the plan. So far I am very impressed with picture quality. Naturally its shines the best in outdoor lighting but it is not bad for a point and shoot for up to 10 feet away on the indoor flash.

David.......Thanks for the link. The photos were fun to see. I have been to Taos, New Mexico several times. The photos brought back some fond memories. The old indian hot springs outside of Taos are fantastic.

We bought an inexpensive Canon PowerShot A590 last year with a 32MB memory module and it takes some fine pics. It's small enough to wear on your belt in a carrying case, and was used for all of those amp repair pics.. even the macro focus shots. We put Energizer AA rechargeable batteries in it. It helps [a lot] to have Paint Shop Pro v9 for post processing.

Forgot to mention it has a 4GB memory upgrade.

I find P&S camera invaluable in certain situations where I just do not want to lug my heavy dSLR.
I have a Fujifilm F200EXR. It's dynamic range and ISO is quite good for a camera with small sensor.
