I used to have a pair of B&W N803's, and upgraded to PMC IB1's.

Although the PMC's need a big amp(I used a Krell FPB200) to get the most from their bass, they blew the B&W's out of the water, especially if you listen loud.

Agreed. To get any given PMC to sing (especially the bigs), a big amp is a necessity... Personally, I believe the Bryston 4b can go a long way for a long time... A great starting point.

Ian,

That's true.
PMC will have to contact their french importer for the HiFi line because the twenty 24 AND the MB2i were both demonstrated at the Paris show with a small Perreaux integrated. This was just ridiculous and really not a good marketing for PMC. But they did even worse with Avant Guarde speakers that they import also. More to follow on this thread :

I am planning on using my MC207 for the time being. Currently I have a 2 channels not used so I was thinking I could bi-amp the PMC's. I would think that would be enough power ??

Is there any issue with the MC207 amp and mixing 4 ohm and 8 ohm speakers? I don't plan to replace the rear B&W 805s's right away.

I believe a 200+200w bi-amp would work just nicely...

Hi Jb,

We had the PB1i (performance box) come in at a lower price and smaller footprint and nearly match the EB's performance. The PB stole the EB's thunder. Worldwide sales pointed to the PB, thus it was written...

Ian.
