Does anyone have the Krell Phantom with the crossover board? Are you using the crossover? How is it in terms of quality?

Owner here. Pretty decent work, with plenty of options to play & enjoy with sub(s). I've been told that the design implemented into the Phantom essentially was original Dan's earlier days work - a trustworthy asset these days, taking into account what Krell is evolving to...

Hello Zoran,

Thank you. I am also a happy owner of a Phantom. I have heard several higher priced preamps in my system after I purchased it, and it is still the best.

I have tried active bi-amping with at top level active crossover, and my fault or not, always doing and A-B-A comparison, my system sounded better not-biamping.

Have you been able to compare the imaging, body, resolution, etc with and without the use of the Phantom crossover? Of course with the subs the extension will be better, but I wonder how it affects the other factors, if it is truly transparent as compared to not using the crossover portion.

Thanks,

VPN
