# LEDs red on 9BSST2
Well, it seems to be my day for Bryston gear. First my BDP1 went hinckey on me, but now it seems to be working, I don't know why.
Now, my 9BSST2 is showing red LEDs on three channels instead of five blue. The manual says red LEDs means channels are "muted," but it's only supposed to be a temporary state. Flashing red is clipping, orange is overheated. Do I need to pop the covers and check the fuses? Any experts out there? Much appreciated if anyone has any feedback.

Hi James--Not hot. At least I don't think so. The amp was off for quite a while, and when I turned it on the lights never went to blue. ( I have blue LEDs.)
Also, orange LEDs are what indicate hot. One thing: We have a LOT of static around here these days, and it got quite a zap just before I turned it on. Wonder if that could have blown the fuses?

Right, and I have the right fuses. I just sent him an email.
Thanks.

No joy with the fuses--they look and test OK. No word back from Mike. I'm going to replace the fuses anyway and hook it back up, but I'm not holding my breath.

Looks like I'll be sending three channel modules to Vermont for repair. That's a total of four in a year or two since I bought this thin, new.
My SP3 arrived defective and had to be replaced. Glad Brysston has such a good warranty and that I like their products well enough to put up with this.

Update--Vermont wants me to send the whole amp. Tis the static zap not likely to have caused the problem, and if three channels went out, the other two probably will as well.
Glad I never got around to selling my old Parasound, so I have something to use for the next few weeks.
