That's what I thought...my crystal ball had predicted this might happen! Congrats to Jerry on a most wonderful acquisition.

Thanks Pete.

I have always wanted a VINTAGE system, akin to what you have build up .. but you have much more. I am tired chasing the holy grail and realised that all I wanted to was to listen to the music of my childhood times (70's/80's) with gears of that time. So, to me the McIntosh C22/MC75 60th Anniversary completed the picture.

Now just waiting for year end to come when my children finished their exams and I can safely renovate my place to accommodate this much desired system. As for the current setup, I will sell it off - and from now on, only collect - if space allowed, vintage pieces, like you.

In a way, you have a new disciple.

Cheers!

Hey Jerry....thanks, I've never been told I had "disciples". Not worthy of that for sure, but I do like vintage gear. Actually, and particularly with my living room system, I like to assemble a blend of old school or vintage gear, together with the more recent technology (DAC's, hi-res and so on) for a really enjoyable experience. I've no doubt whatsoever that the combo you've settled on will be a winner, to say the least. It will be the envy of many!

For the first time in a couple of years at least, I've been revisiting my painting hobby. In the room where I have my art "studio" I have a nice Vintage McIntosh/Crown rig with a pair of JBL 4313B's and a 2241-based sub I acquired from Ivan some years ago. I'd nearly forgotten how good that vintage rig sounds, in that small environment with a monster 18" JBL sub. I was listening to it last night, and it is delicious!

I'll look forward to hearing your impressions and seeing some photos of your dream "Vintage" rig when it's complete.

Congratulations again!

Yeah, they're a real nice set of speakers. And they can be had for quite a bit off of the retail price...but even so, still quite expensive!

Current inventory is a pair of LSR6328s and a pair of LSR 4328s and about half a dozen Control 25AVs and a couple of Control 1s. . In the past I have owned pairs of these: 4430, 4333WX 4340WX 4313BWX, 4312BWX 4310BWX, 4301, and I probably missed a few. Also a lot of PA and raw drivers. I (my daughter, actually) still have two EON10s.
