Yes, that's all great, for sure, but I think the real plus will be added features, metadata richness, and algorithms in Valence, and the concomitant increase in Radio mode to discover content in new and more personalized ways.

I have a Lifetime subscription and the only new feature that is of any value for the way I use the product is vertical scrolling. I am glad that it is adding features for others.

Besides the visual and ‘control’ changes, I wonder if they have made any changes to the SQ aspects?

Ditto. They may be starting to fall behind other software providers (several of whom are also hardware providers) in terms of SQ, but are still way ahead in terms of user interface. Fingers crossed for more sound ...

Agreed. Roon excels in finding music and artists that otherwise would remain unfound.

I’m just waiting for better handling of classical metadata, and an “album artist” view.

You're going to see a big improvement in handling classical music metadata, Tony.

Everything I've heard so far points to "no".

Although, I'm not sure there's any specific issues to address. I've compared Roon playback software vs others and consider it at least as good as anything else out there.

That said, some more control over the filters it uses (like HQplayer does) would be nice. And it would be nice to control their DSP from phone devices. Currently it's only available on tablets.
