The sensor cable is 36 inches (~1 meter).

I've recently sourced a universal input wall adapter for the RoadRunner, so people who operate from 220V mains won't need a step down convertor.

Good news. I always like to have everything supplied by the one person/company, so there are no problems. Now all I need is to save up my pension and buy one.

Yes, those Michell HR Never Connected supplies are very difficult to get spot on...

No, I had one for my Gyro SE / OrGy SE and it was a great upgrade.

I saw the Roadrunner while visiting Ivan in the Cape and I was immediately sold.

I just received mine yesterday and installed it on my table. It is a very very close fit on the Avid with barely a few milimeters of margin. Because of this, it took me some time to install it mostly to find the right spot and I had to remove the platter which is a PITA to put back. I believe a smaller jack on the sensor would have helped but it's a minor thing.

Anyway, once the magnet is correctly placed and the sensor secured, the rest is a breeze. The quality and finish are amazing. The unit is very well made and the display is bright and readable but not annoying when listening in the dark (I get very annoyed by the bright led every manufacturer wants to put on their product for some reason).

I was able to fine tune the speed on the Avid and I could check if it was consistent. I can get a reliable 33.33 with extreme values of 33.325 and 33.345. This is very precise and only the Roadrunner can give you the information to really dial the speed. I believe this is much more precise than the strobes and other gadgets that are often sold at much higher price points.

The product is hassle free. Once the sensor receives an input the unit starts automatically and after a small period without input it shuts down automatically. You have virtually nothing to do. This is such a simple idea that I cannot believe why anyone has thought about before. I congratulate Phoenix for coming up with it and for flawless execution. I'm sure any other commercial company would have charge a couple hundreds more for the same thing. I hope a company like VPI would enter into an agreement with Phoenix to come up with a table with the system already integrated. That would be awesome !

I did it too , Georges had ordered mine in the same time and he gave me it yesterday night.

Nothing to add on the excellent description Georges made, except I have an ACUTUS and I was not able to install the sensor in the same way he did on his Sequel.

So if it can help John49, here's how I managed to do it:

I didn't want to remove the platter, so I checked all around the table how I could put the sensor in a stable and firm position at less than 1 cm under the platter. Very difficult!

I've tried many things, not reliable, and in the end I found a green water glass (up side down) which has the perfect height, is very stable with it's cylindric shape and is almost invisible from everywhere(behind the motor); if I want to give it a better look, I could stick a carbon sticker all around and on top, it would match perfectly with the Carbon Millenium Mate I have on the platter....and voilà!!!!

Look at the pics, they'll be better for explanations.

Again, thousands thanks to Georges and Ivan, and PHOENIX ENGINEERING!

Last thing, if you (ACUTUS owners) want to DIY another kind of support for ACUTUS: the glass height is 10.7 cm.

Thank you Jean-Marc. I have been very slow to get my Roadrunner ordered!
