Yes, this is also true. I need to dig out that material they sent me. There are a number of limits. But, this is from some years ago. Maybe they have mastered the ability to interpret coloured and clear vinyl.

Someone could stand to make some money if they create their own version of this and get it into a marketable price point. I know my comment is preposterous, but I don't see this as high tech. An analog laser distance measuring device modulated by a record groove in order make to sound?
Solves the tonearm and cartridge issue, but introduces the noise of "material" in the grooves.. and makes David even more obsessive and compulsive about his Vinyl Record cleaning "shell-game"". Last edited by o0OBillO0o; 05-15-2015 at 02:01 PM. |
