Default Audio Engine A2+ desktop speakers

Finally upgraded my aging computer with a serious machine from Dell/Alienware as well as a new monitor only to realize the fancy new monitor did not have built in speakers like I was used to for nearly a decade of living with a very nice Viewsonic monitor.

Needless to say I had to come up with a pair of speakers for my computer desk but since that was now the new realm, they may as well be "good sounding" pair of speakers that can be used for youtube/Roon desktop music listening and not only provide basic sound.

Long story short...

If you are looking for a pair of desktop speakers that actually sound very, very, good for not a lot of money and their dimunitve size, look no further than Audio Engine A2 plus...

These speakers have a very pleasant tonal quality to them. Warmish/laid back overall tonal balance, with enough resolution and a well tuned bass response for little speakers (given at least 6 inches away from the rear wall!) to keep things balanced and most importantly musical and without any sour notes!

They are the complete opposite of the often sterile and harsh sounding cheap desk speakers that make me cringe with their dentist drill like shrill and ear piercing voicing....

I can listen to these little gems all day long and often do as I play
Roon through my new computer and these little guys while I am working on the computer.

Very nice for the money and highly recommended as a pair of pleasant looking/sounding computer speakers.

There are many features but I will let you discover the specs on your own... https://audioengineusa.com/shop/wire...uter-speakers/

They are self powered and are wireless/blutooth ready but I am driving my pair with a Class A Audeze headphone amp/DAC through its preamp out for best results.

One of my associates has these on his desk. Sound great for the form factor and $$.

I got a pair for my wife’s work computer. They are outstanding and a genuine good value.

Cheers,

Scott
