John Coltrane & Miles Davis - The Final Tour
Qobuz 24/44.1

Working myself through this box.
Pleasant work I must say.
Decent sound for live recordings from '60.
Coltrane sometimes so powerful and extravagantly expressive some people in the public couldn't bear it.

Straddling the line between Classical and Jazz. A record I listened to in high school (especially in the summer of 1985) that contains many pieces of the Great American Songbook that Gershwin contributed. I played many of these pieces myself on the piano back then. I was never as good as Andre Watts though.

Sonny Rollins - Way Out West
Qobuz 24/192

The remaster quality is as astonishing as the performance of the 3 musicians.

Sonny Rollins - Saxophone Colossus
Qobuz 24/44.1

Another album that sounds a lot better than the CD I had.
