]in Los Angeles at Warner Brothers Recording Studios, but produced and issued by Nippon Phonogram, Japan. The L.A. Four - Going Home Laurindo Almeida - Guitar Ray Brown - Bass Shelly Manne - Drums Bud Shank - Alto Saxophone, Alto Flute, Flute  You wouldn't believe these acoustics - Direct Disc recordings from the 1970's were often phenomenal and this is one of the best - Also the jazz quartet is excellent and the performance superb!

 CD 6 David Brubeck '53-'54 Very nice live recordings from the quartet, with a splendid Paul Desmond. SQ is not outstanding, but still very reasonable for live recordings of that era.
