Another classic Mingus album.
Recorded in '59 it sounds fresh and crystal clear.
Fantastic compositions and playing.

Hank Mobley - Soul Station



I really like Mobley's sound. One of the best tenor saxes ever.
Blakey is the driving force as he often is, and Kelly and Chambers do an excellent job (like in "Kind Of Blue"!).
Van Gelder remastered this very well.
An absolute classic.

Another album worth every penny, with the same rhythm section and Freddie Hubbard as added value.
