Cyrus Chestnut - My Father's Hands

Nice to catch up after a month break, not that many interesting jazz releases on the platforms, but always a pleasure to listen to this great pianist!

Recorded in 2021, new release on HighNote, via Qobuz 24/96

Cyrus Chestnut - Piano
Peter Washington - Bass
Lewis Nash - Drums

Heard them live at Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase in Chicago about the same time along with Johnny Frigo on jazz violin. A memorable show indeed!

Miles & company - "Bags Groove". May be my favorite work by Miles. June & Dec '54. Everyone pretty much at or near the peak of their talent.
