You want to have the exact same amount of toe in on both of your speakers ?
Is your room perfectly symetric, acousticaly speaking ?

Toe in should be by ear & not by any measuring/laser device. In some situations, one speaker may be toe'd in/out slightly differently than the other.

The point here is I want to put speakers back exactly the way they were when I move them to try other speakers.......

Use some masking tape on the floor to mark the corners or front face of the cabinet, or if a wood floor, use a crayon that you can most likely rub off the wood when you want.

Yeah, I was just gonna, say I don't get all this fuss about lasers and such. I didn't think there was any other useful way to toe in speakers other than by ear. I use my record of AoAM performing Vivaldi's Gloria for adjusting toe in. When the sound stage is correct for that record, I'm done.

Painters tape for me. Mark off two adjacent edges corner to corner.

Why didn't you just state this first, as others stated tape is your friend

This is exactly what I was thinking about.
Toe in should be set by ear because no room
is acoustically symmetrical. So it makes no sense to get the exact same amount of toe in on both speakers.

Really guys, is this concept all that difficult to understand?
Tape is great for setting up a pair of speakers.
Tape is not so great for placing, pushing, sliding different speakers over the tape in the same general area as the first pair.....
Just looking for laser pointer recommendations. If you don't use one or don't like the concept please move on
If you do use one, I and others would like to know what you use!

We can debate about anything when it comes to sound.
