Stephen.......As long as that cleaning lady is around I would leave it in the box. Between the cost of the cartridge and the Les Paul guitar, you could have paid for the Hawaii trip.

Stephen...congrats and enjoy the EMT. You should definitely install that baby on your tonearm. I think the easiest fix is to invest in a cover for the turntable

Stephen...glad the cartridge is home safe and got a clean bill of health. I would have a come to Jesus meeting the cleaning lady. Those are some expensive items she's breaking. What's next, cleaning the Porsche with an SOS pad or burning down the house?

Well, Thanks to the incredibly designed Micro Seiki MA-505 tonearm installing my EMT XSD-15 was a simple 5 minuet process.

I have a couple of things to say for those that choose to listen.

First, I had been using the EMT prior to CLD (cleaning lady damage) for several months, so knew very well the sound of this cartridge.

First... The Ortofon 2M Black cartridge is AMAZING....

Second ... If you choose to spend ~$2000 on a cartridge... there is a whole 'nuther layer to be gained.

This is an amazing world of analog and vinyl, and I am just hoping to share my experiences.

Stephen.......I wish I were hanging with you this evening enjoying that sweet EMT. I have no doubt it is digging deeper and fleshing out far greater details in the vinyl's walls. My guess is the dynamic range has improved and well as a lowering of the noise floor. I suspect the midrange detail in the female voice range is smooth a silk, as the upper midrange shimmers in glistening clarity. Cymbals are ringing crisp and metallic once again. Drum snaps have far greater authority, and the skin vibrations are clearly audible. Bass is full and rich, with a bigger sense of low end range. All in all, I'm thinking you are one happy camper.

Phew......this channeling stuff is tough.
