Stephen.....it really comes down to budget and who's money were spending One thing about the Shelter if he were to choose that cartridge the C2300 is border line on gain IMO, the shelter plays more like a .2-.3mV cartridge so he is going to need something in the mid 60s at least this has been my findings with the three Shelters I have had but YMMV........
