Thats a sure win... And one have a MC and the other a MM phono cartidge to use both phono inputs on the C2500.

im using the mt10 as a mc and the ortofon i believe is also mc. right?

Yeah that MC ortofon should blow your socks up. I have the cadenza bronze which isn't as high up the chain as the one you purchased. If you don't love it on your MT10 I would say it's time to get that HRX!!! Or just get the HRX anyways LOL... VPI also came out with a new table the are calling the avenger which may sound even better than the HRX!! You might check that one out as well. It's not on any of their websites but just google VPI avenger

To each their own............ that Avenger looks great to me. Only problem is that it is rubber-band drive rather than direct-drive.

Easy comparison of cartridges, you have 2 different sounding carts, different arms to play with if you want, and ability to have a mono cart and a stereo cart setup. The reason for a mono cart with music cut mono is that the stereo cart reads in more planes than the mono has music. So the stereo cart gets static in stereo and music in the center when playing a mono album while the mono cart only picks up the center music
