The results are very good with the WWSE on the plasma TV. It doesn't replace the stock cord, but a DIY special that I was using with a slim schurter IEC.
On HD cable broadcasts, graphics are very crisp and clean. There is much less noise in scenes with large areas of color (like a golf or tennis broadcast). Bluray already looked amazing, but even more texture, depth and fine detail is visible. As my set is stand mounted, I could easily revert back to my previous PC. The loss of fine detail and crispness was clearly visible. As an added benefit, the sound (thru the 5.1 surround system) was incrementally better when using the WWSE on the TV. Bass was tighter, and rear channel surrounds carried more ambiance. This could be due to the WWSE's ability to reduce some of the noise going back to the power conditioner. A 65 inch plasma pulls 350 to just over 550 watts during brighter scenes. I suspect that causes a lot of noise. Overall, I am thrilled with the result and the SE is staying put. |
