Think a Evolution Acoustics Micro One with two 8" bass drivers on the top and bottom.

Doug Lax,

That speaker looks good.

I'm considering buying the MA Platinum PL200, or the new II PL200 OR 804D3 or RBH SX-T2N,

I would love to hear your opinions on the differences between the PL200's and PL200 II's.

I have not heard the new series, but I am very interested in th PL500 II's someday.

I love my PL200's they are easier to drive than my PL300's. I have them in our great room with very heigh ceilings and they do a fantastic job. My PL300's are in my theater room.

How hard are the PL 200s to drive? I have a 75 watt PrimaLuna tube amp--would that suffice for a 15x15 room at moderate levels?

I sold my Aerial 7Ts and ordered Monitor Audio PL 500s. I'll post how they sound once I receive them. No, I didn't hear them, but a good friend heard them. We have very similar taste and I decided to take a chance.

Congrats on the new MA speakers! I think you'll find them quite different sounding than the Aerials (both are excellent but with different perspectives) and will be interested in your thoughts once you have them for a bit. Enjoy them in good health!

audio bill,

Thanks...time will tell if it was a smart move. My friend was so sure they were a big step forward, he promised me he would buy them if I didn't like them. I didn't like the first series because I thought they were too forward sounding. The PL 500s are new and he swears they are very smooth and totally different from the first series. How do you think they'll be different? Have you heard the PL 500s?
