I've been through a smattering of British speakers over the past ten years. The Spendors, as well as the IMFs I just picked up, are keepers .

I picked up the Spendor line after hearing the SP100R 2 years ago with the Jadis DA50RC. The bass is much deeper than the published 40hz, I will be getting the first pair of the SP100R2 and rotate demos with the Mcintosh MC2301's, MC75's Ann. and the Jadis JA80's. Will also have the A5's. Revised crossovers and cabinet improvements should be a big improvement over the previous version with a much better bass response acording to the distributor's website. I loved what I heard with the 30 watt integrated in a very plain room setup, cant wait to see what 60 watts Class A monoblocks will do and of course 300 watts from the 2301's. Spendor has one of the sweetest midrange in any speaker line I have heard. If the series 2 delivers on bass they will be a very formidable speaker in the 10K pricepoint. Pics to come soon, AA members are always welcome to swing by for an audition.
