Yes, Oak would be great. I was slightly joking about the Grenadil...

I reached out to my contact and can confirm the D3 series is no longer for sale, in fact some recent sales for the D3 were canceled. There are some interesting changes coming and yes the prices have gone up. An announcement will be coming soon.

To prepare for D4 action... Would anybody recommend good, experienced, trusted OD in Chicago or Great Chicago area, please?

Audio Video Interiors Chicago in Oakbrook is a great B&W dealer to work with.

I figured those speakers and a sub and I’d be set, I don’t know if any of you have seen them, but B&W last year did offer for a short time a walnut finish on the 805D3 and I think the 802D3 as well. I wish I could have picked up a pair. They would have looked great with my walnut McIntosh cabinets.Attachment 64439
We'll match! See my signature. Sound is wonderful, but I'm biased, haha. I agree you'll want the sub. A big plus of the B&W subs is an iPhone app that performs room correction and integration with mains almost instantaneously. Also, make sure to connect the sub via the C22's balanced output for best results. Enjoy!

Thanks for the info, but I don't see Bowers and Wilkins listed on their website as a brand they carry.

Their website may not be current, I suggest giving them a call to ask. According to their Facebook page they became a B&W dealer in 2019 and they are listed as a dealer on the B&W webpage although the address is incorrect.

What’s the usual lag time between discontinuation and announcement of new models? Given the D3 has been discontinued for a month or two now, and no stock available or able to be ordered, it’s weird to see a lag.
