A Guy Hid a Real WWII Panther Tank in His Basement. Now, There Are Consequences
`
Popular Mechanics 7/29/21 "Only 12 Panthers exist in the world, and a U.S. museum reportedly wants to buy it. The tank, one of just 12 left in the world, is almost certainly worth millions of dollars." !!! "The German Army Panzerkampfwagen V “Panther” medium tank was one of the most technologically advanced tanks of World War II." https://www.popularmechanics.com/mil...0Non%20Openers .

I'm guessing my basement stairs won't hold a tank, or even an 88 canon or torpedo.
They did handle a McIntosh MC602 and pair of Wilson CUB IIs with no problem (though the CUBs did wipe out my hip). Any others old enough to remember when you could purchase surplus weapons (37mm anti-tank guns, etc.) from the back of comic books & match-book covers? The mid-50's were different.

Gotta love the overreach of the authorities and how they can just "seize" private property, even if it is a WWII Panther tank that was at some point purchased and is now worth millions.
