The video plays now but such a shame you can’t leave the music in. While we can see the HAMM show the before and after, it loses the impact when you can’t hear the transients that caused the vibration in the earlier ‘before’ section.

Yep, well, talk to YouTube about it.

I can't do anything about it without getting a copyright strike against me. i'll see if I can find some license-free content with a bass or kick drum, but I think the point is taken.

How about just knocking the stand with your knuckle?

I just did a similar experiment. I ran the app and put my phone on my TT. With or without music there is no visible vibration. Music playing at 90db.

I am using these very cheap ($1.50 each) vibration isolators from amazon.

DiversiTech MP2-E E.V.A. Anti-Vibration Pad, 2" x 2" x 7/8" , Pack of 4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KAFG8EG..._gLZtEbFW87WBK

Then I did the same on all my other components that do NOT have any isolators (preamp, CD player, DAC, phono preamp). I saw a VERY small vibration on VERY heavy rock drumming only. The vibration was SO small that I would not worry about it at all.

Before you spend $45+ on an isolator, you might want to run some tests yourself and if you feel you have a problem try out cheaper alternatives like the one shown above to see if it works for you.

You may be right but I am not so sure the measurement is ‘there’.

I tested the Diversitech pads a week or so ago using the Vibsensor app, and they don't work as well as the EVPs. In fact, they work worse than simply placing the DAC on the Herbie's Tenderfeet on the top shelf of the audio rack. They actually act like an undamped spring...

I am not questioning your results in your system. I certainly do not expect every person to have the same rack or equipment isolation problems.

My results are with actual music and in my set up. I tried to simulate my actual listening habits in my environment.

In any case, all that I am suggesting is that folks do the test on their own system and check what (if anything) they need.

I personally much rather spend $1.50 if that does it for me instead of $45, or nothing at all if I find no vibration problem.

Believe me, I wish I could spend $1.50 instead of $45 as well, but the proof is in the pudding, so....

Comparison of stocky Gumby feet (green trace), Herbie'sTenderfoot (red trace), Diversitech pads (purple trace), and EVPs (blue trace) using my vibration analysis methodology. Each footer was resting on the top of my audio rack's top shelf under my Schiit Gumby DAC. The Diversitech vibration imparted is same as the Herbie's Tenderfoot, but shifted up notably in frequency compared to the Herbie's Tenderfoot.

The EVPs still wins, hands down, and by quite ways.
