I’m grateful for Magnolia too. PeterMusic summed it up well. It’s been a pleasure working with them. Over the years I’ve purchased B&W speakers along with Bluesound and Sonos components.

You might want to give them a try, mhasman.

Cheers,

Scott

My brother bought his Mc & B&W system from Magnolia. They took care of him nicely.

I called to Davis Audio & Video, and was told they were not selling speakers but only provide full-installation service. "We are not retail but professional services". I said it was fine with me as long as I only pay for speakers, delivered, and no additional charges for any additional service. Left my contacts, and nobody got back to me...

Can't believe Magnolia is only option...
There are two other options ABT In Glenview or Audio Visual Interiors in Oakbrook. Both are B&W dealers.

Yes but it is a new non-fabric spider. This looks like something worthwhile.

Amen.

It's cool to see for the center, at least for the larger center, I'm not sure if it's in both that they are making some attempt to isolate the midrange. Obviously nothing as high tech and advanced as the turbine head found in 3 of the towers but it's better than nothing. Is this new to the D4 series or was this also in the D3 series?

Disappointing though to see that the aluminum bracing top ring and I assume aluminum internal reinforcement was not used on the center speakers. I imagine they also exhibited the same amount of cabinet flex as the main speakers did (if the 805 did then these must have) so to bad these didn't get additional bracing.

This must be a global website mistake, the 800 series pages were just updated on the various https://www.bowerswilkins.com/ websites and in multiple countries the 2 centers are only showing as available in white and black. There is no walnut or rosenut option. These can't be limited to just black and white can they??

Andy Quint?

Honestly, I do not know about what's coming. I have not (yet) asked for one.

Another observation on the new centers, unlike with the entire tower speaker lineup now on the D4's vs just the 800, 802 and 803 on the D3's they have elected to not integrate an aluminum backplate which would have added more structural stability.

So overall not as much love and attention given to the centers as the towers

I hope it's a mistake. Not having the other color choices on the center would probably take me out of the running for any of these.
