Hi guys,
What 12AT7 tubes do you recommend, besides the Telefunken that are quite impossible to find ? Do you know this one : BLACK SABLE Mullard ECC81 / 12AT7 Thanks Jérôme ( that's for my 2301's...)

Telefunken 12AT7's as well as 12ax7 ribbed or smooth plate are available ALL day long on ebay....No worries. I use Telefunken 12ax7's & Siemens triple mica 12at7's in my MC2000's. I use Telefunken gold pin ECC803's in both the line stage and MC phono stage of my C23000....

I loved the Seimens ecc801s in my 2301's. Others I liked was Genelax 2900 and brimar 6060 yellow T. I think I still have a quad of 6060 that need to find a new home. I don't have tubes anymore. I didn't get to listen to the 6060 a lot but think they were better than a2900 and maybe not quite as good as seimens just in the limited time I tried them.

Jérôme.......Keep us posted. I am interested in how the Mullards will sound in those sweet MC2301 amplifiers. I am using four of the Mullard CV4024 tubes in the 12AT7 sockets in each of my MC275's. I am very pleased.
