Good advice Serge, if the KX_R is as good as everyone says it would be dangerous!
It is excellent but more importantly the MX-R/KX-R combo compliments each other and creates a well balanced and pleasing tonal balance with proper "weight" and "richness" in the midrange while dazzling with silky smooth highs and enough resolution to be thoroughly impressed. I used the call the KX-R the "illuminator" because it used to spotlight the soundstage and bring out the subtle details buried in the recording without an ounce of harshness, edge or glare. It was called "The eight wonder of the world" by one reviewer... It is good. I had the C500 and the KX-R in my system, the C500 had to go.

Mike.......I have considered the Ayre KX-R and MX-R combination a worth alternative to McIntosh products. I still consider making that change from time to time.

Your new MX-R amplifiers are beautiful.
