Default Droplet photography

A friend of mine took these and will be here, with all the necessary gear, to show me how to take these. This was with a saucer of strong coffee, and droplets of milk.

I’m gonna try a saucer of milk, then droplets of Kahlua, then Baileys, then Di Saronno, then butterscotch schnapps, then Godiva Chocolate liquor and finally Tito’s World Famous Vodka.

I call it the Velvet Hammer.

That is a great idea. Practice makes perfect.

I'll share a story about Doc Edgerton, the father of high speed photography. He was a professor at MIT, as was my grad advisor's father. Doc Edgerton had been commissioned to take high speed images of athletes jumping to understand the sequencing of muscle contractions. His apparatus was finally set up but it was late. He looked around for a volunteer to test ahead of the athletes' arrival next morning. Only my advisor's Dad was still there. But he was game. They were getting to ready to shoot when the night custodian came into the lab. He saw one old guy with a bunch of cameras and another old guy in his underwear on a step ladder. Both professors had to report to the Dean next day to explain themselves.
