Default C52/53 and C2600/2700 speaker match

In my world B&W speaker are a little bright in top end and Sonus faber less bright in top end.

C5X a litte brighter in the top end then tube versions.

And the most pairing i see around is B&W often have C5X as pre amp and SF moste time C2X00

Or is the C52/3 not that bright in the top end compare to the C2600/2700?

I guess that would depend upon one’s personal taste. Some find the sparkle of McIntosh SS preamps enhanced resolution while others find it forward and distracting.
I much prefer Mac tubes but respect those who prefer otherwise.

Not here. Tube pre-amp (C2700) + SS amp (MC601) + Diamond tweeter (803D3) =

At least in my world.......and my wife's.

I agree. I don't think it's an accident that I ended up with what you have described as relatively bright speakers with relatively warm amplification.
