Default Japanese Pressing

Went on an Asian cruise and when we docked at Osaka Japan, I went and look for a record store and was able to find a store full of Japanese audiophile records, I bought several and a few of their recommended local Japanese jazz band. Can’t wait to get home and to listen to them.

Some of the best jazz I've encountered lately has been from the Three Blind Mice label. Superbly done!

You’re lucky, in Tokyo, all I could find was CD shops...it was like stepping back to 1990 lol, gonna have to go better research before I go back again.

I would have ended up making a pit stop at a department store for a new piece of luggage, then hit the record store! Sure I might deny the charges on my card when I got home but thats another story. Enjoy!

Agreed! Amazing recordings. Green Sleeves Shoji Yokouchi Trio is a keeper. the Hammond B organ on track Willow Weep for me is killer.

Just stumbled across this thread. I have about 40ish old Japan Audio Lab vinyl records from the '70's. Mostly Jazz and Classical. In each case the recordings are just superb. Makes the American stuff from the same era seem cheap and flimsy by comparison.

I put a few of my favs on tape. Great sounding music.
