Default What Classical Music Are You Listening To Tonight?

Die Silbermann Orgel der Hofkirche zu Dresden
Hansjürgen Scholze, organist
Capriccio (1986)

Not much to critique here, but fun listening. Crank it up and imagine yourself in Dresden.

Default What Classical Music Are You Listening To Tonight?

Mozart: The Five Violin Concertos - Sinfonia Concertante in E Flat - Concertone in C - Rondo in C - Adagio on E - Rondo Concertante in B Flat
Berlin Philharmonic
David Oistrakh Conductor, Violin, Viola
Igor Oistrakh Violin
Angel SD-3789 (1972) vinyl

Listening to the first record of this 4-record set, concerto amd concertone in C. I’ve always been an Oistrakh fan, and this set has a glorious flow to it, and excellent sound only marred by a somewhat high noise floor.

Annoying though that this set is produced for the old “record changer” with sides 1 and 8 on the first record, sides 2 and 7 on the second, etc.

Yes Serge, being a dead musician doesn't mean being 'classical'!

I do like David Bowie though. My first vinyl I ever bought was 'Heroes'.
A real classic!
